A family on the land

A sequel to THE REAPERS YEAR, DAYS OF PLENTY catapults the story into the late sixties. The horse has been replaced by the combine harvester and the hopes of the older generation by the dreams of the new. In the midst of all this upheaval, some things remain unchanged; lives are still affected by the passing seasons, personal freedom is as elusive as ever, and ‘progress’ is a double-edged sword.
