The Studio @ EA is within the Eastern Angles Centre located on Gatacre Road, off Bramford Road. We are in the Victorian school building that was the former home of the Suffolk Records Office.

Yes. Parking is free and there is overflow space. We recommend arriving early to performances to secure a space. To locate the car park, go down Gatacre Road and on the right hand side are large blue gates. Enter the car park from here.

Other car parks nearby which are pay and display include: South Street Car Park (10 min walk to theatre), Portman Road Car Park (16 min walk to theatre) or Crown Car Park (20 mins walk to theatre).

The car park does have one accessible car parking space (a wider bay which is clearly marked). This is situated towards the entrance of the Eastern Angles Centre (turn right when you first drive into the car park). We advise audience members who cannot walk very far to park close to the entrance of the car park to reduce the distance to our front door.

The front door of the Eastern Angles Centre is situated on the car park side of the building (rather than the blue door on Gatacre Road). This can be accessed via the car park or the blue gates on Bramford Road. Following the corridors through to the building you will not need to climb any steps to reach the theatre.

The exit door nearest the theatre does have a step down to the main street outside. This is the blue door on Gatacre Road that used to be our main entrance. We have a ramp that can be put in place if needed. As a listed building we are unable to place a permanent ramp on the front of the building, however our removable ramp can be used at any time, simply ask the Front of House Manager or ring us prior to your visit to let us know. We also have a disabled access toilet at the theatre.

If you need to book a wheelchair seat, please ring Box Office ahead of your booking on 01473 211498 (Mon-Fri, 10am-2pm) so we can arrange theatre seating accordingly.

Yes. We aim to have at least one BSL performance on our touring shows. For our Christmas show this tends to be at the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge. For our Spring Tour, it will be a date during the run at Ipswich at the Studio @ EA. If you require any further assistance, please call Box Office on 01473 211498 (Mon-Fri, 10am-2pm). An induction loop for the hearing-impaired is available on request by calling the same number.

We have a contactless bar at the Eastern Angles centre in Ipswich. We take card payments for all ticket bookings and use chip and pin for our tickets at the centre. We also take cash payments.

It is a cash only bar at all other touring venues.
