Job Opportunities

We offer work experience placements for secondary school students during our production and rehearsal periods, typically in November–December and April–June each year, however these may vary according to programming. As a touring company some placements will be expected to tour with the team away from base across East Anglia and therefore evening work is required. As a small team, we are only able to accommodate placements during these times.

All work experience applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the team, where they will be expected to demonstrate a genuine passion for theatre and the arts. This interview will help determine whether Eastern Angles believes the placement is well suited to the candidate. Eastern Angles reserves the right to decline applications if we feel a placement is not suitable. As a small organisation, we look for students who understand the nature of theatre work, including long periods spent in the rehearsal room as well as supporting a range of other tasks.  As a consequence work experience applications will be collated through out the year and interviews will take place twice a year for the available slots. 

We will close applications in on September 1st for our November  – December slot and close applications on Feb 1st for our April – June slot. 

Students should also be self-motivated, proactive, and show a strong interest in the creative processes taking place throughout the rehearsal and production period.

This opportunity is intended for students who are seriously considering a career in the arts.

Applicants should be prepared to clearly articulate their goals, the skills they hope to develop, and the areas of theatre or the creative industries they are interested in working in. During their placement, students will also be expected to complete a blog or social media story reflecting on their experience.
