Theatre Spaces

The Studio @ Eastern Angles is situated within the Eastern Angles Centre on Gatacre Road. The room is a flexible studio space ideal for rehearsals, theatre performances, filming etc. 

General Information:

• The equipment already available in this room includes raked seating, lighting desk, sound desk and a basic festival rig. 
• The theatre seats a maximum of 120 people in traverse and 80 people end on. 
• For traverse seating an additional hire cost is charged for installation.
• Technical staffing is offered at an hourly rate. Pre – rigging should be requested at booking.
• All hirers are expected to bring their own technical team with them. 
• Theatre hires must use the EA Box Office services for ticket sales. There will be a charge for this. 
• Hire also includes bar facilities and a Duty Manager. 
• Hirers will also have access to a backstage area for performers, costumes and set. 
• There are toilet facilities including disabled access.
• The room has same level entry and exit, and there is a loop system available.

Alongside being the Ipswich home to Eastern Angles’ own productions, The Studio @ Eastern Angles often hosts local amateur dramatic societies as well as music and comedy nights for professional performers.
