Ferry Across The Waveney

Thu 10 Dec 1998 - Sat 16 Jan 1999

A fab tale of the Sixties

It's October 1964. Chelsea boots are in, hemlines are rising faster than prices, the Merseysound is top of the hit parade, and the Beatles are due anyday in Ipswich and Great Yarmouth.

Meanwhile, Lowestoft ex-drifterman Don Capps is struggling to keep his wet fish business alive. His real dream is to knock those Liverpool groups out of the charts and create the Waveneysound. Who knows? With the new pirate radio station, Caroline, just offshore, it might just work. If only his rebellious teenage children would back him!

And the first record might be...yes, we know there is no ferry across the Waveney, but every man must have his dream!
