Ground

Thu 6 Oct 2016 - Sat 8 Oct 2016
  • Age Guidance:16+
  • Duration:1 Hour

An immersive theatrical event.

Ground by Peterborough playwright, Aisha Zia is a play in development based on the experiences of people living in the city. We are inviting you to be the first to see this ‘scratch’ performance. The play will be followed by a feedback session allowing time and space for debate.

“This will be an experimental piece, working with sonic and visual artists to create a mood piece that explores people’s ambitions and what stops them from achieving. We want to show people trying, failing but never giving up, despite hardship. It’s a play about the human will to keep going.” – Aisha Zia.

Aisha works with testimonies, gathered from people who’ve had real life experiences, as well working closely with the cast to develop character from their own personal experiences.

Ground is a ‘pay-what-you-can’ performance – donations welcome after the show.
