Last of the Pigs: Rehearsed Reading

Fri 24 Jan 2014 - Fri 24 Jan 2014

Rehearsed Reading: A comic family drama

Presented as part of our commitment to supporting new writers Eastern Angles present a rehearsed reading (script in hand) of Joseph Wilde's new play Last of the Pigs.

Hadleigh, Suffolk. Christmas is coming and, this time, Hannah is determined to avoid World War 3. Her husband, John, is busy fighting the building of a new Tesco supermarket; their sons are busy trying to make lives for themselves and Hannah's mother, recently widowed, is busy making up for lost time. With the world changing fast around them, the truths that come out over the dinner threaten to pull the family apart before they pull the first cracker.

A comic family drama about capitalism, idealism and coming home.

And lots of dead guinea pigs.

Last of the Pigs is presented in association with HighTide Festival.
