Our Nobby
A new play by Kenneth Emson
Directed by Kate Hall
A bus shelter, late at night, a young girl gets a visitation from a familiar figure...his past provides a guide to her future
Kenneth Emson's touching new play uses the myths surrounding one of Peterborough's best loved local figures to reflect the city's history and a young girls aspirations.
Our Nobby is directed by Kate Hall - a Peterborough based theatre practitioner and Royal Shakespeare Company Associate who delivered last years Platform Peterborough schools' project, Moving Tales.
Nobby is played by local actor Mark Curtis known to local audiences for his appearances in the Key Theatre. Our Nobby is being performed in more than twenty community venues across the city as part of Eastern Angles' Platform Peterborough 2010 season. This half hour show will strike a chord with all of those who remember Nobby or wonder where their own lives might be leading...
