A new shop is opening in Peterborough...but what's inside?
In a shop in the middle of Peterborough, a strange and wonderful transformation has taken place. A shop that sells stories, dreams, fairytales and even nightmares. Come and explore the shop and meet the vampire shopkeepers and the adventurous vegetables. Hear songs from far-flung mystical lands as magical footballers and mad robots take you on a journey discovering a different story around every corner. One thing is for sure, you've never been to a shop like this before!
Join us for our brand new theatre show - Tales From The Middle of Town happening right in the centre of Peterborough. Over the last few months we have transformed part of the Queensgate Shopping Centre (formerly Waterstones) into an amazing new space for our show. You can expect lots of live music, clowning around and fast paced excitement as actors from all over Europe tell tales from all over Peterborough.
We have spent a year collecting stories from over 1000 youngsters across Peterborough and have used them for this exciting site- specific show. NIE have a company of actors, musicians, set designers and theatre directors from all over Europe who have been working together for over 10 years. We make spellbinding physical theatre which has been performed in 25 countries and 3 continents from New York to Shanghai, and now we are in Peterborough!
