The Bluethroat

Thu 5 Mar 1998 - Sat 6 Jun 1998

A haunting tale of obsession

A local girl is found dead in the reedbeds of beautiful Cley-next-the-Sea. A century later, this event still resonates through the landscape just like the rolling mist that brings the elusive bluethroat to the shore.

Stephen is a celebrated bird illustrator visiting North Norfolk in the hope of recapturing his creative spark. The Reverend Marchant is a Victorian naturalist obsessed with adding the bluethroat to his collection. Their lives collide with unexpected results as their search for perfection takes an unusual twist.
