The 1950s. The East Anglian coast feels the bite of the Arctic Wind, and the chill of the Cold War, but at a top-secret research facility on the Suffolk Coast, it's not just the wind that's trying to get in!
Handsome new recruit, Bruce Merritt, is given a wet lick by Olga Gibletova, a remarkable Russian dog who has defected to the West, a warm handshake by Professor Honeytuft, the station's Director, but a cool stare from his daughter, Sally. Beautiful and headstrong, she is blind to Bruce's merits and rebuffs his advances.
Then the aliens arrive from Planet Melamine 3. They are looking for a perfect specimen of manhood, er Bruce?
Can Bruce avoid the awful fate that awaits him? Can he escape Melamine 3, whole and intact? Will Sally finally see his merits and admit that they're a genetic match made in heaven?
