  • Duration:Approx. 1 hour 30 mins (incl. interval)

Think you know the story of Little Red’s journey to Grandma’s house? Think again.

Join us in the dark wood this Christmas as we present:

Little Red

A family show for Christmas

An energetic retelling of a classic fairytale, Little Red follows our title character’s walk on (and off) the path to Grandma’s house. With a homemade pie in her basket, Little Red meets talking sheep, dancing trees and a jazz-singing banjo-playing Mr Wolfie on her journey.

With energetic music and cool nods to friends from across the fairytale world, Little Red is not your usual walk through the woods. And it’s a fun alternative to the traditional panto that will entertain all the family this Christmas.

Production photo - Little Red crouches down to look at a caterpillar (felt prop used a puppet), she's smiling.
Production photo - Two actors dressed as wolves sit at a dinner table with cutlery in each hand, in the middle stands Mr Wolfie with his arms out either side of him. They're all singing and in front of a fores set.
Production photo - Little Red holds her basket and watches another actor create a path out of the "crumb" on the floor with a spade

This Christmas we’re taking a step away from our usual path! Doing a family show has been an idea of ours for some years, but we could see no gaps in our programme. As we emerge out of the pandemic and give a rest to our spoof panto (we did two last year!), 2022 seems the perfect year to make that idea a reality. We’re not saying goodbye to our traditional spoof alternative to panto forever, we’re just trying something different this year and giving life to a long-held ambition. We hope you will join us.
