Medieval Stained Glass

Sat 27 May 2023 - Sat 27 May 2023
  • Duration:3 hours 30 mins

Ever fancied designing some stained glass art? Now's your chance!

As part of our Medieval Miracles project, we're running two stained glass art workshops. Local glassmaker and artist Hassina Khan will lead the workshops, teaching you the basics of the 'copper foil' stained glass technique and guiding you to make your own medieval-inspired piece of art using stained glass.

What will the session involve?

  • Learn about tools and materials and how to use them safely
  • Be introduced to skills in cutting, foiling and soldering glass
  • Practice these skills using a pre-designed Medieval-inspired template
  • Take away your own piece of stained glass artwork

Running on Saturday 27th May, join us for the morning or afternoon for a few hours of friendly chat and art. This session is aimed at beginners, o experience is necessary to join and Hassina will be on hand to help throughout the whole session. All the necessary materials will be provided.

With so many beautiful stained glass windows in churches across East Anglia, this is a unique opportunity to make your very own shimmering piece of medieval art!
