See five brand new plays in one night at the Young Writers Festival on Friday 14th June.

Over the last 10 months we have been working with some of the most exciting young playwrights in and around Peterborough. The Young Writers Festival will showcase five brand new plays at The Undercroft on the 14th June at 7pm, from our Young Writers Group.

The plays:

Love Hunting by John Jewers

Two serial killers use Tinder to find their victims – but then they match with each other. What follows is a journey into the surreal and some socially awkward violence.

Boy in Red by Ed Buxton

‘Boy In Red’ is set in Rome and follows main protagonist Dylan as he objectifies his crush and continues to argue with his friend.

Snowflakes in the Slowcooker by Marianne Habeshaw

Welcome to the village pub. Take a seat in the slow cooker…where old men stew in their own juices. Consider genderless snowmen over a pint. Meanwhile, snowflakes fly in from trendy London areas. They trigger each other…with whether the word triggered triggers people.

ANIMA by Saulius Kovalskas

Thomas is about to fulfill a childhood dream and start his very own company – all that’s left is securing a loan from his mother. But his boyhood home isn’t as welcoming anymore, with all the sweet memories gradually morphing into a bitter nightmare

An Unnecessary Man by Karina Baldo

An Unnecessary Man is a dark comedy surrounding the three generations of Turner.

Michael is out of work.

Simon isn’t a robot.

Wilson won’t remember any of this
