3 Weeks Until Guesthouse Opens

21 February 2018

Can you believe we're only three weeks away until our Spring tour show opens in Stowmarket?!

Yes, Guesthouse rehearsals are well underway at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich at Eastern Angles's home. We joined our photographer Mike Kwasniak in rehearsals to see how the play is shaping up...

The story centres on three generations of women coming together to decide the fate of their family run guesthouse in Clacton-on-Sea. For more information on the show, click here.

Director Tony Casement has been working with Amanda Bellamy (Val), Clare Humphrey (Lisa) and Eleanor Jackson (Chloe). Assistant Director Valerie Christiansen and writer Nicola Werenowska have also been in rehearsals.

Guesthouse opens at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket on 14th March before embarking on a 52 date tour to 43 venues. Eastern Angles will be performing at coastal towns across East Anglia too. See where here.

Guesthouse will also form part of Essex Book Festival with Nicola Werenowska speaking on the Writing the Place panel on Sunday 4th March at Firstsite, Colchester. The play itself will be performed on 27th March at West Cliff Theatre in Clacton-on-Sea, where the play is set, as part of the festival.

To book tickets for the show, click here or call Box Office on 01473 211498 (open Mon-Fri, 10am-2pm).
