Celebrate our Heritage and Our Future

7 March 2016

Ipswich's historic Waterfront is the venue for an exciting proposal: "The Hold" (working title), a modern, heritage research facility that will be home to Suffolk's nationally and internationally important historic archives, as well as an engaging cultural resource for the public.

A fundraising gala will take place on Thursday 17th March at 7.30pm at the Museum of East Anglian Life, to support this new and aspirational heritage venture, a partnership between Suffolk County Council and University Campus Suffolk. The event includes a unique performance of music resurrected from Suffolk's archives by Eboracum Baroque, a theatrical performance by the Red Rose Chain, and canapés and drinks. The dress code for the evening is formalwear.

Tickets are available by calling 01502 674680 (9.30am to 4.30pm, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat) or by visiting any branch of Suffolk Record Office (during the same hours - see here for locations), with all proceeds benefiting Friends of Suffolk Record Office and "The Hold".

Thursday, March 17th, 7.30pm - 10.30pm £25 per ticket or £40 a pair
