Create some community magic with us as a theatre volunteer!

27 October 2023

Our brilliant volunteers are key members of the Eastern Angles team and our friendly theatre community across the East of England.

Joining the team as a theatre volunteer, you’ll be at the heart of the audience visitor experience and what makes a visit to the Sir John Mills Theatre so memorable. Your role will include:

  • Welcoming audiences to the theatre
  • Selling and serving refreshments behind the bar
  • Helping to ensure the safety of all visitors
  • Generally providing a positive and warm audience visitor experience

Throughout our 40 year history, volunteers have been at the heart of our team and we could not do what we do without them. As a volunteer you’ll be joining a friendly group of people, gain new skills, and be able to watch our shows for free!

Interested in volunteering with us?

No prior experience is necessary to become a theatre volunteer. All we ask is that you share our love of theatre and our ethos of Radical Hospitality, ensuring everyone feels welcome at our venues.

We’re hosting a Volunteer Training Day at the Sir John Mills Theatre (Eastern Angles Centre) on Saturday 18th November and we would love to meet you there! If you’d like to come along or want to have a bit more of a chat about what volunteering involves, please get in touch – email emily@easternangles.co.uk or phone the team on 01473 211498.
