MARGARET CATCHPOLE NEEDS YOU!

13 February 2012

WANT TO GET IN ON THE ACT?

A unique opportunity to perform in Eastern Angles' 30th Anniversary Production of MARGARET CATCHPOLE, at the HUSH HOUSE on Bentwater Parks.

In the Summer of 2010, we presented BENTWATER ROADS in a former aircraft test hangar on the old Bentwaters Base in Rendlesham. What made these performances extra special was the inclusion of a Community Chorus of local volunteer performers, playing a multitude of roles throughout the show.

And this year, we are returning to Rendlesham with MARGARET CATCHPOLE, a revival of our hugely successful 2000 production, telling the classic tale of a Suffolk lass and her smuggler sweetheart.

Running from 21st June - 8th July, we need YOUR help to make MARGARET CATCHPOLE  happen. Once again we are on the look-out for a company of local people (age 16 and over) to play a variety of roles - smugglers, revenue men, farmers and servants, who will appear throughout the show. You'll be singing too, but we're happy with all levels of ability and we'll give you plenty of help along the way!  We are looking for people with a real desire to perform, and the commitment to put the work in to make it happen.

You don't need any previous experience, and it is free, although you will need to make weekly rehearsals in Ipswich from April to June, and have transport to get you to and from Rendlesham for the rehearsals and  performances in June/July.

Up for it? Want to know more? Then contact Jon Tavener on 01473 218202, or via email at jon@easternangles.co.uk .

We look forward to meeting you!
