Wild Boy is the incredible, true, moving story of a feral child, found in the woods of Hanover, Germany in 1726.

Unable to speak, or stand up straight, the Wild Boy was named Peter and taken to the court of King George I, where he lived as a pet.

The King quickly became bored of the child and soon Peter’s story was lost to legend, until a fire broke out in Norwich prison. During the evacuation one of the inmates was recognised as the Wild Boy.

The production tells Peter’s story with luscious live music, movement, puppetry and magic, and questions what it means to be human.

Lamphouse Theatre are based in Peterborough and tell epic stories in intimate settings. Find out more about the company here.

See Wild Boy at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Ipswich on Friday 1st November at 7.45pm.
