Ragnarok: Rehearsal Blog - Week 2

26 August 2014

WEEK Two Blog Post:

This week has been all about getting the show up on its feet. So the drill has been:

  • talk through
  • detail section and intention
  • point through
  • walk through
  • experiment and perfect
  • ... and wait for all the technical details to complete the final scene.

Josh in the dark

We've got to grips with kite puppets, hand puppets, giant puppets, people puppets, held puppets and dead puppets.

We've tried on costumes and hoped they would fit.

We've sat in a dark room, a ridiculously loud room, a quiet office and celebrated 25 years of our stage manager working for Eastern Angles.

We've learned Viking dance routines, safe dramatic throws to the floor, how to transform into an eagle and the most convincing way to stand up when you have no legs.

    Ragnarok Stilts

We've tried to learn our lines completely, but there is still some gaps.

We've covered more of the walls in pictures

    We laughed a lot.

We are ¾ of the way through...
