SID & HETTIE hits the road.
10 July 2015SID & HETTIE, our highly successful reminiscence play based on the life-stories of the older generation in Suffolk, started re-touring today at Felixstowe Academy. For the next 2 weeks, we'll be taking it to care homes and schools across Suffolk, culminating with 3 public performances at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Ipswich on 24th and 25th July.
Based on the memories and interviews of real life residents in Suffolk care homes, it's time to swing back to the dance halls as we follow Sid & Hettie's relationship from the 1920s to the present day.
As the story unfolds we see the Suffolk-born teenagers fall in love, set up home and deal with everything life has to throw at them including wartime separation, family holidays and learning to waltz!
Francis Woolf returns as Sid and we're delighted that Rosalind Steel, who played the title role in Margaret Catchpole, is playing Hettie.
