Theatre in the Cloud? Event

3 February 2014

THURS 6 FEBRUARY
THEATRE IN THE CLOUD? - a think tank event
Promoted BY EASTERN ANGLES and PACITTI COMPANY
when:2pm - 6pm where: Victorian Wing of the Ipswich Museum and Art School Gallery

Theatre in the Cloud? is an ongoing project initiated and led by CathyWestbrook of *futuredream* which is inspiring theatre-makers to explore online spaces.  A series of specialist-led open workshops have been happening in the South East (at the Gulbenkian) and are stimulating conversations and possibilities. This session here in the East is a potted update (summary if you like) of those sessions and an invitation to join the conversation.

We're keeping it simple - technology is only there to serve our stories and characters - and we've rejected the "broadcast" model.  We're challenging issues of "liveness", merging physical and online, deconstructing theatricality, blurring lines between online characters and "real" people, and placing adventure and fun at the heart of our process."

The session will also practically describe small bursaries which Theatre in the Cloud will have available to help your ideas become (cyber) realities.

Do join the conversation!

ALL WELCOME. FREE.
ANOTHER FREE EVENT FROM PACITTI COMPANY.
