Welcoming our new Marketing and Digital Communications officer Emily

2 June 2021

We're delighted to welcome Emily Walden, our new Marketing and Digital Communications Officer, to the Eastern Angles team!

Before joining us Emily previously worked as a Language Assistant, teaching English to secondary school students in Lille. She graduated with an English Literature degree from the University of Warwick last summer. As a student she also worked as the Marketing & Publicity Officer for an undergraduate research journal and volunteered as a tutor bringing creative writing workshops to students at local secondary schools. This is her first step into the big wide world of theatre marketing.

“The week I found out I got the job at Eastern Angles was also the week theatres in England first reopened after months of lockdown - I'm so excited to be joining the post-covid arts journey with Eastern Angles!”

Fun facts: Emily spent one year living in Australia as a child and can do a mean Aussie accent on request. She begins nearly every day with a cup of tea, bowl of porridge, and a podcast (facts from which she will share with everyone she meets).

Originally from Northampton, Emily has spent her adult life living in Leamington Spa, Paris, and Lille – she is currently relocating to Ipswich so do be sure to come down and say hi when she’s made the big move in a few weeks' time!
