Undeniably benign fun
The Times
First-rate characterisation and some wonderfully absurd storytelling...Eastern Angles have always specialised in genre spoofs – poking fun at Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Hammer Horror and sci-fi B movies, now it’s clear they can have fun with comedy classics as well.
East Anglian Daily Times
There is comedy in this production, packed in every line, original and smile inducing. The audience were charmed by the actors, playing multiple parts in clever and unique ways. A great alternative to the seasonal panto.
Ipswich Town and Waterfront
This energetic, engaging play will have you smiling and laughing from the moment the actors tread the boards and will constantly capture your attention.

You know we love a good spoof, well, this year we’ve got a
cracker lined-up for you!
Previously, Eastern Angles have mercilessly lampooned Lord Peter Wimsey, Agatha Christie, St. Trinians, Charles Dickens and the Tudors of Wolf Hall. This year our talented team are turning their attention to the famous 1950s Ealing comedy The Ladykillers.
Expect our usual fast-paced alternative musical mayhem and a script bursting with mad-cap banter and bonkers storylines!
Opening at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Ipswich before moving on to the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge and then concluding the tour in Peterborough at The Key Theatre – this will be a Christmas corker you won’t want to miss.
In co-production with Shanty Theatre Company.
