A New Brain

Mon 21 Oct 2019 - Sat 26 Oct 2019

A New Brain is a show about making the most out of life in the face of tragedy. When a neurotic, frustrated composer is confronted with a terminal illness, he finds comfort in the healing power of art. This show is a wacky, hilarious, moving and honest portrayal of illness and the stories of friends and family who help us through it.

Based on the true life events of composer William Finn (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Little Miss Sunshine) and with a book by James Lapine (Into The Woods, Falsettos) A New Brain has been a favourite among musical theatre fans ever since its premiere in the 90’s, mainly thanks to its signature songs “Heart and Music” and “I’d Rather Be Sailing”.

Featuring a multi-talented cast of Suffolk’s finest performers, A New Brain promises to be an evening of theatre that will stick with audiences for a very long time.
