Introducing our new logo and Youth Theatre programme!

29 February 2024

We've blazed a trail across the East of England for over 40 years – now we're entering a new era with a fresh new logo and the announcement of three new Youth Theatres.

Since expanding into the Eastern Angles Centre in 2021, we have developed the former Suffolk Records Office into a thriving community arts centre that is both a home for our own activities and that of other local organisations. With our company rebrand we commit to continuing this community work and to touring theatre with a regional flair across the East of England.

"I'm delighted to unveil our new branding today and mark an exciting chapter in Eastern Angles history. This new branding reinforces our commitment to place based theatre making, community engagement and participation and touring. It brings together all facets of our work a thriving community arts centre and the regional touring theatre company for the East that has been blazing a trail for over 40 years. I'm also thrilled to announce the creation of three new Youth Theatres, New Angles, which will be completely free for participants. Eastern Angles has always been fiercely regional and we look forward to supporting a new generation of future artists to tell their story and take pride in the place they are from.”

Eastern Angles Artistic Director / CEO Jake Smith

New Angles is a free programme open to young people aged 9-18 in West Ipswich. Weekly theatre workshops at the Eastern Angles Centre will be a place for participants to learn performance skills, develop confidence, and meet new friends. Split into three age groups, the first sessions take place during the week commencing Monday 22nd April. Click here to find out more about New Angles.
