Make 'em Laugh with Amy Gwilliam

Make 'em Laugh with Amy Gwilliam:

Funny Bones & Finding the Game (2nd May)

In this first week, we will get back to the basics behind play, pleasure and what makes us humans so funny in the first place. We will explore the comic elasticity of our bodies and encourage our natural ability to find games...in everything!

Instinct, Improv & Audience Interaction (9th May)

In this second week, we will go further to act with instinct on stage, strengthening our spontaneity and natural powers of invention in comic improvisation. We will explore and enjoy the direct relationship with our audience, preparing us for the world of clown next week.

Red Nose Day! (16th May)

We are now ready to step behind the tiniest mask in the world - the red nose - and to be revealed for all our wondrous humanity and fabulous idiocy! We will discover how less is more when we are in our true play state - with our fellow clowns and audience. And we will explore how clowns reflect the natural comic timing in human existence.

Clown Cabaret (23rd May)

Drawing on the previous three weeks, we will develop our individual clowns, with costumes and cabaret. We will explore some classic clown relationships and situations and devise our own based on the ridiculousness of real life. Finally, we will understand what really makes 'em laugh!
