R&D Week for Polstead

We go on sale later this week for Polstead by Beth Flintoff - a new play based on Maria Marten and the Red Barn Murder - but this week we've welcomed the director, writer and some actors for a research and development week on the play.

The new retelling of the true tale will be performed by an all-female cast and tour to various locations including Ipswich Waterfront, a real tithe barn at Semer near Polstead and Debach Airfield where we performed Somewhere in England (2016).

After his success with The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart (2017) Ragnarok (2014) we’re delighted to welcome back Hal Chambers to direct the new play.

Hal has worked with Beth Flintoff before on her hit play Matilda the Empress commissioned by Reading Between the Lines Theatre Company last year:
