The Undercroft Weekender Festival Announced

Eastern Angles are very excited to announce a new festival for Hampton in Peterborough - The Undercroft Weekender. 

The free festival takes place on Friday 26th July with events running throughout the weekend until Sunday 28th July. 

The Undercroft Weekender kicks off proceedings with a new folktale for Hampton created by Lamphouse Theatre & Eastern Angles called There be Giants which premieres on Friday night. There will be a Behind the Scenes of Eastern Angles talk with Artistic Director Ivan Cutting, revealing the secrets of how the touring theatre company works too.

Saturday will have a mix of folk music from Frumenty, face painting, poetry workshops, Suitcase Shakespeare, a VR experience with Peterborough Presents, Garlic Theatre's French twist on the three little pigs tale, plus music to end the day with Georgia Evans and Alice Howard. Throughout Saturday, there will also be sports on the green, Vivacity Book Bus and a paint jam with Korp - resident artist at The Undercroft. 

Sunday will have a chill feel to the morning with free family relaxation class with Drolma and a pilates taster on the green. UROCK bring a Paddington inspired theatre workshop and there'll be film screenings in The Undercroft throughout the day. Don't miss The Big Picnic - bring your own food and enjoy the entertainment on Silver Hill including Magic While You Munch with Ricky Locke - who recently sold out The Undercroft with his one man magic show. Mark Grist will bring poetry for 5+ year olds to the Eastern Angles Pavilion and Frumenty folk band will close the weekend.
